COMMISSIONING OATH
(translated from Hungarian)

I, ________, ceremonially vow on Almighty God, that I am loyal to and have an utmost respect for the most honorable vitéz noble Horthy Miklós de Nagybánya, Hungary’s legally elected Regent, for the Hungarian Constitution, and for our country’s sacred laws.

I vow that in everything and always I will fulfill my responsibilities, according to the specific orders as a Hungarian Royal Csendőr (Csendőr Officer) in the service of public order, peace, and safety, and according to the military law and regulations as a soldier; I will not join any anti-national or anti-patriotic organization or movement that undermines the military or csendőrségi discipline; I am not and will not become a member of any secret organization; I will further the good of the service, the Regent, and the country under all circumstances; I will readily obey the laws and the charges and orders of my superiors; I will faithfully keep the secrets of the service confidential. May God so help me! Amen.

Édes Hazám, magyar róna, magyar erdő, magyar vég,
Téged járlak éjjel-nappal, télen-nyáron, nagyon rég.
Népem biztonságát őrzöm megrendíthetetlenül,

Száműzetés lett a sorsunk, idegen föld borul ránk,
Ne felejtsd el hű fiaid: érted éltek, szép Hazánk.

Szeresd, őrizd kicsi népünk, amikor már nem leszünk,
